A seminar titled “Introduction to Industrial IT Sector: Skills, Standards & Expectations” was successfully held on Monday, 27 April 2026, at Sylhet International University, organized by one of the country’s leading IT service providers, IT Lab Solutions Ltd.
The seminar provided participating students with a clear, data-driven understanding of the essential skills, qualifications, and practical preparation required to build a career in the professional ICT sector. In addition, detailed discussions were conducted on various IT domains, workplace environments, industry demands, and job opportunities in today’s technology-driven world. The session also highlighted IT Lab Solutions Ltd.’s internship process, skill development programs, and employment opportunities.
As an engaging segment of the event, an online quiz competition was organized, where the top 10 participants were awarded prizes.
Following the presentation, an interactive Q&A session was held, where students received insightful and career-focused guidance on their queries.
The event commenced with a welcome speech delivered by Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Alam, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Sylhet International University. Professor Nitai Chandra Chand, Treasurer of the university, was also present.
The seminar was successfully organized with the overall support of Associate Professor Khaled Hossain, Dean of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Assistant Professor Md. Omar Faruk Jahangir, Head of the Department.
From IT Lab Solutions Ltd., Finance Director Aktaruzzaman Chowdhury Litu was present. The session was conducted by Senior Software Engineer Mridul Kanti Bhattacharjee and Senior Software Engineer Debjyoti Chowdhury, with overall support from Sales & Marketing Executive Ruhul Amin Sabuj.
The event was hosted by Samia Rahman, a student of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Respected faculty members from various departments also attended and enriched the program.
The seminar concluded successfully with a vote of thanks to all concerned.
